There is a place that men called AMERICA. Far over the horizon, A frontier, seemingly impassible. To these shores we sailed-- men, then women and babes. We are AMERICANS. Late of the Old World, now of the New World. Sons and Daughters of OLD COLUMBIA. We secured The Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity. We cut the bonds of our old kingdoms And breathed FREE, free to do the Will of GOD. GOD, who gave us Life, who gave us Liberty. We set out to conquer a rich continent, A Bible in one hand, a weapon in the other. We fought the natives, then fought ourselves, Choking nearly to death on the smoke of funeral pyres, Of burning fields, of burning cities. We flowed in waves ever westward, Seeking our fortunes as a river seeks the sea, Carving out homes from the dirt and rock, Mountain and SKY. While we traveled far on harrowing adventures, We always returned to our hearth, Our home, our FAMILY. Along the way, we forgot who we are. We followed the diadem of Empire, Tempted by perfumes and false idols. “The cloud-capp’d towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself,” Spending sons like treasure, we swallowed whole countries, the question never arising of indigestion. The old wisdom borne out of the west was forsaken. We forgot who we are. But slowly, slowly… Some of us, MORE of us REMEMBER. We’ve paid for our sins We’ve paid for the WORLD’S SINS With Interest! We are AMERICANS. This is our HOME. We are Americans And we’re not going anywhere. NOT YET! Not yet. And we will see our Old Glory again… @OldGloryClub 2025 Conference BEGINS NOW
