4/ Why does social media feel endless? Infinite scroll keeps you in a dopamine loop. Notifications pull you back when you leave. Personalized feeds keep you hooked. It’s not addiction—it’s design. You don’t control the experience. It controls you. But here’s the good news…

This is Richard Thaler: New York Times Bestseller Nobel Prize in Economics (2017) Pioneer of Behavioral Economics For decades, he was obsessed with one question: Why do people make choices that go against their best interests?

You might think you have free will. But your brain has been tricking you your entire life. Just look at this example:👇

Ever seen a cigarette bin like this? It’s a "Ballot Bin", designed to nudge people into proper disposal. Instead of just asking smokers to throw their cigarettes away, it makes it fun—by turning it into a poll. But here’s the crazy part…

This tiny change dramatically increases proper disposal rates. No force. No rules. Just subtle psychology steering behavior. And the scary part? It’s happening to you every single day—without you realizing it.

Richard Thaler spent decades studying how small "nudges" shape your decisions. No force. No rules. Just tiny tweaks that steer your choices without you noticing. And you won’t believe how much this happens every single day…

In 2008, Richard Thaler co-wrote ‘Nudge’ Sold 5**,000,000+ copies** Translated into 30+ languages Used by governments & businesses worldwide This book exposed the subtle forces shaping every decision you make. Here are 4 real-world examples that prove it: 👇

Behind every decision you make, there’s a hidden force: the Choice Architect. They don’t take away your freedom. Instead, they subtly guide you toward a specific choice. You probably don’t even notice it—because it’s designed that way. Here’s how it’s controlling you every day

1/ Thaler and his team rearranged cafeteria food placement to get people to eat healthy without them realizing it. This experiment fascinated me. Take a look:

2/ Ever wonder why supermarkets put essentials (milk, eggs, bread) at the back? It’s not an accident. They want you to walk past impulse buys—chips, candy, drinks—so you grab extra stuff along the way. Your shopping trip is nudged for maximum spending. But that's not all...

3/ Why does Netflix autoplay the next episode? Because they don’t want you to decide whether to keep watching. If you had a moment to think, you might stop. Instead, they remove friction—so you binge longer than planned. And social media takes it even further…

You think you’re making free choices. In reality, you’re choosing within the environment someone else designed. But once you understand Nudging & Choice Architecture, you can use it for yourself—instead of being controlled by it.

The crypto journey isn’t for the faint-hearted. Hundreds of red days. Dozens of boring days. A handful of euphoric days. But those who stay patient see the 20x–50x returns everyone dreams of. Survival is simple...do nothing. Let time do the heavy lifting. How do you keep calm during the slow days?

Scrolling = dopamine wanes. Find a better dopamine fix.

I hardcore agree with this!!!

I have no idea how I go this far down the thread

Narcs do intermittent rewards. That should tell you everything you need to know. THATis the hook.

Is something wrong with me that I am so perfectly aware of nudging that I always shop a shopping list, go straight to the shelf, I ignore "next episode" on Netflix and I don't scroll rolls on Facebook? The more they nudge me, the more I refuse.

GET OFF THE PHONES. WE ARE COOKED.

If you don’t wanna cuddle someone why you going near their genitals? This is like getting your car cleaned but leaving the inside filthy. It’s ok but you’re not going to feel good as you drive away.
