Mostly futile, Moscow air defenses did manage to hit a few drones, and of course above the most populated areas, a total disregard for humanity as is always the custom.

When you board a bus for £1.75 to get from A to B and suddenly find yourself passing a 1000-year-old castle before crossing one of the most famous bridges in the world... I'll never not feel like a tourist in London 💂‍♂️🇬🇧

Xabi Alonso sent Mikel Arteta to the shops to go fetch him some snacks. Miles clear of him as a footballer, and clear of him as a coach now as well. Long may it continue, Chelsea will be back.

there’s a huge difference between watching someone ski a cliff and actually standing at the top of one. from the camera angle it looks almost manageable, but 80 FEET OF EMPTY SPACE changes the whole thing. you have to commit, stay composed through the drop and trust that you’ve judged the landing correctly. i can understand why people watch this and immediately think “yeah… absolutely not.”

Denis Villenueve talked just a little bit about bringing Dune 3 to life at AC's Bleak Week tonight - - Denis expressed how he wanted to take a year break (at minimum) after shooting Dune 1/2 back to back, being exhausted & wanted to make a film before Dune 3 as well - Jokes that he got bored after "a couple" weeks of being back home in Canada while on break and began writing a script based on Dune Messiah - Conceptualized images of the film in his head while dreaming - Heavily emphasized how he wanted to make Dune 3 vastly different from the first two, brought up Hans Zimmer's new score as an example of something that'll be very different - Jokingly said he was tired as they're in full post production mode

There’s snow place like home. ❄️🌎 Witnessing Earth from the International International Space Station is both stunning and inspiring, especially as the winter’s snow shifts into view. With the technology of today, we can take in the beauty of our NASA Earth from 250 miles above and grasp a new perspective of the blue marble. Every space mission begins long before launch day. Ideas become spacecraft. Thousands of decisions are made before a single engine ignites. The European Space Agency (ESA) knows what that journey looks like. As the agency prepares to increase the missions it supports by 2030, it is laying the groundwork for decades of future exploration. Working with Canonical, ESA is building a common platform for mission operations based on open source. Kubernetes, Ceph, PostgreSQL, and Kafka form ESA’s infrastructure foundation.
