There are 704,520 Nurses on the permanent NMC register in the UK as of March 2022. This is up from 681,525 the previous year. So, there's a 3.37% increase in Registered Nurses year-on-year for 2022.

It is very simple, public sector pensions are to good & allows them to retire at a far younger age than those in the private sector. They are taking the piss out of the private sector who have to pay for their pensions. Brown destroyed salary based pensions in the private sector.

Big headline figure but what was the breakdown for leaving. I believe that’s a leaver rate of 5% when the UK leaver rate across industries is 15% just to put it in some sort of context
