⬛ Austin Ekeler: From D2 to the League He ran for 5,857 yards at Western Colorado Football. Signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent. Led the NFL in touchdowns twice. Now with the Washington Commanders and still producing strong. We found this little boy on the streets 2 days ago. His road to recovery has started… 🩸 2 days in vets to make sure all ticks cleared from ears, tests done and x rays completed. 🧼 A big wash from 2 lovely ladies which he seems to enjoy. 👩‍⚕️ Nurse Tina welcomed him into the land and showed him around and made him feel relaxed 🧴Nice creams and treatments from where he’d hurt himself on the streets dragging himself around. 🐕 He has feeling in his back paws. Sybille who is a human surgeon thinks she can get him back walking with physio and a lot of patience (months) 🛞 Too early to say if he’d need wheels, special boots to protect his legs or anything else. But he’ll get whatever he needs. 🛻 He no longer has to worry about things that would kill him like cars, getting into fights with bigger dogs, humans who wanted rid of him etc ✅ All we could do was get him into a better position than he was 48 hours ago and that’s started. Let’s hope in a few months he’s running up and down a beach. The hard work for him starts here 🥰🙏
