Yeah, nah. I live ~75 km from Melbourne airport. That fare should be $220-270 at most. Whoever that is should report the cab number. Definitely NQR.

Yes it’s wild but he took the cab. He has to pay for it. The taxi driver had to pay tolls, fuel and car maintenance. Not paying is theft. It’s excessive sure but you get a service you have to pay.

I hope he filmed the drivers ID badge and his face in order to help with the report. That is outright theft. & still scamming by putting a dif price in the eftpos. Hence why I like Uber. You know the price up front.

My folks live out that way, I get them a private car service to the airport. $150, no stress, never late always happy.

Surely ACCC or whatever body controls taxi drivers can revoke his license?
