48 years ago today, pop music as we know it was invented

And 45 years later, Beyoncé payed it homage by sampling it and naming the track “SUMMER RENAISSANCE” in honor of the matriarch, Donna Summer. A true mother and daughter 🙂‍↕️

Oh and no one talks about how “i feel love” is actually a pretty hard song they don’t give my girl enough credit as a vocalist for my liking

Donna summer is an Underrated singer vocally she’s stronger then some of the suposed greats

Using an arpeggiator, Giorgio Moroder set the stage for much of what would become Electronic dance music in the decades to come.

In the 80’s I was a toddler and I remember my mom blasting this song during her Saturday afternoon house cleaning. Neighbors called the cops 😂
