Some of these are on the catchers. A few absolutely terrible receiving clinics there.

IMO, it's ALWAYS the umpires fault if you miss a middle middle pitch. Most of the terrible receiving is due to cross ups or missed locations...

1. Missing middle-middle pitches are the umpires fault. It's like saying you're ok with the runner being safe due to bad tagging form by the fielder. 2. Most of the time the catcher isn't receiving well it's either a cross up or a missed location.
