Grant Knipp has been showing off his versatility this week at the MLB Draft Combine 💯 He started off Day 2 of the combine hitting a ball 111.5 mph and 400+ feet👀 He wrapped up the day hitting 97.2 mph from the mound with a Fastball that also features over 20 inches of induced vertical break. This college season with Campbell Baseball, Grant Knipp hit .400 and slugged 1.200 vs Fastballs. That SLG is the best for D1 hitters (min. 200 FBs seen)🔥

Marty Gair, RHP | Giants Gair projects as a pure reliever, but he has late-inning upside if he can throw consistent strikes. The 6-foot-6 righthander gets plus extension and relies heavily on his fastball. The pitch sits in the high 90s and has touched 102.2 mph with 18 or more inches of induced vertical break. More:

Samir Mohammed, RHP BA four-star & LSU Commit Mohammed unleashes a power fastball that reaches 99 mph. He also turns over one of the best changeups in the 2027 class with good separation off his fastball, heavy tumble and a ton of fade with more than 20 inches of horizontal break at times. It flashes plus and could end up a plus-plus pitch that gets swing-and-miss against both lefties and righties. More on Mohammed and other 2027 prep standouts:

On top of his praise for Rod Brind'Amour and Jaccob Slavin, Spencer Carbery had more compliments worthy of a watch for #Canes fans. "They are just relentless with their pressure and their ability to break plays up with their sticks... there's no team in the league like it."

Lots of talk about Franklin Arias being called up this year. My take on the matter is…don’t. With the lockout looming, and baseball maybe not being played, you have to think about his development. During a lockout, players not on the 40 man roster may report to minor league camp. If Arias is not added to the 40 man, he will have access to the team facilities.

More men want a bigger penis than they want to be taller. Dr. Rena Malik shared this surprising stat on Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO. The average erect penis is about 5.3–5.5 inches. Women’s preferences (based on sex toy sales data) are very close to that. Men, however, tend to overestimate the average as 6–7 inches. She also noted that with good blood flow (regular erections), size shouldn’t shrink with age, but extra fat in the pubic area can make it appear smaller. The perception gap on this topic is massive and quietly fuels a lot of insecurity. Understanding the actual data can reduce unnecessary anxiety and help shift focus to what really matters for confidence and health.

As the dust settles on our 2022/23 campaign we’d like to say thank you to all our supporters, sponsors, staff and players for all their efforts over the last season. We achieved more than was expected of us this season and we can all be very proud of that. This is only the start!

Free Agent Chet Allison came to Tread Athletics having never thrown a professional inning. After playing a few years in MiLB as an outfielder, he decided he wanted to try pitching. He had an electric arm already, he just needed to learn how to use it down the slope. He showed off some pretty nasty stuff while he was here. His fastball has a unique cut-ride profile, averaging 20” vertical break, 5” horizontal break. Oh, and he can run it up to 96 mph. He also showed great feel for a sinker, slider and curveball as you can see here, but the star of the show is his changeup. It’s extremely consistent and pairs very well with his fastball, averaging 6” VB and 15” HB. Can’t wait to watch Chet dice up some hitters wherever he lands this season! FLATGROUND Pitching

Mark Cubans advice on selling AI agents to SMBs is the MOST underrated clip on the internet right now. here’s the full play he didn’t break down (bookmark this): pick one vertical. learn the flows. become the AI team they never hired and wish they had. you really don’t need a CS degree or VC money. you need claude, a cold email sequence, and the willingness to learn one industry better than anyone. bonus, find an industry leader who knows nothing about AI but knows everything about their business. partner with them. bring AI into their operations. you increase EBITDA. you increase multiples. you own a piece of the upside. this is the business model of the decade.
