We've got to stop talking about billions & millions of years. There is absolutely no evidence for that in observable science. Historical science is based on assumption & not verifiable. Theory at best. I put on my trust in an intelligent designer and a God who loves His creation.

Small correction though: 5 billion years ago is before Earth even fully formed. The earliest evidence for plate tectonics shows up closer to 3.2–4 billion years ago.
