My soil was coved with wood chips last season and untilled, and literally nothing grew until I peeled off the wood chips, tilled new soil and added Mycorrhizal Fungi. Then the the garden went nuts. It’s not one size fits all.

No that's why I've always done it the natural way you use mother nature's fertilizer and you use mother nature's downhill irrigation if you base it on mother nature it tends to be a better and nicer garden
