Thanks Ellie. The 21 people now in prisons for association and action with Just Stop Oil knew the risks of stepping out of line, but they also knew the risk to their families and themselves if they do nothing. More will follow. #NoPrisonForProtest

Not excessive considering they were all multi-repeat offenders, high risk of reoffending, all were deliberately in contempt of court, at least one was breaking previous sentence terms, the action created 4 days of issues including missed funerals, hospital checks etc.

One of these so-called 'peaceful protesters' caused someone to miss a cancer appointment. Does the rule of law not matter when it suits your agenda?

Are you stupid? Seriously? They are not peaceful protesters. They are members of a bizarre doomsday cult, wanting to bring the country to its knees, to cause massive inconvenience and distruption to the public to make demands the public do not supoort. That is not democracy.

Somewhat agree. The sentences are excessive even as I despise Grifting nil-achieving Tankie brainwasher Roger Hallam. In light of sentences given to far worse Far Right felons, the non-violent if actually harmful JSO & XR CULTISTS deserve far less time locked up with real felons!
