Over the past two years, I’ve documented several protests targeting CEO Heather Reisman in Toronto, Oakville, and Burlington. What stands out at these recent demonstrations is the recurring presence of individuals whose pattern of conduct involves harassment under the banner of activism, including several professors, and a revolving door of post-secondary students. Having been targeted by the same network since 2021, I have firsthand knowledge of the harm they can inflict, and that’s just as an observer of protests. Canadian law protects the right to assemble and express grievances, but those rights end where the rights of others begin. My $0.02.
