$500,000 Bitcoin by 2030 is just math: $300B fund founder, Ric Edelman, explains: 'If the world allocates 2% to BTC, it’s $1 million a coin.'

The math is simple, but it is an “if,” not a promise. $BTC is about $84,000 today. there will never be more than 21 million coins. At $500,000, Bitcoin’s total value would be around $10 trillion. At $1 million, it would be around $21 trillion. Ric Edelman is saying: if the world puts about 1% of its big pile of savings into $BTC , the price could be near $500,000. If that share is 2%, the price could be near $1 million. That only happens if a lot of people, funds, and companies actually buy and hold. right now $BTC is still a tiny slice of global wealth, so the jump from here to $500,000 by 2030 would still be a very large rise.

early retirement on 1 BTC might not be a fantasy

Crystal clear breakdown of complex trends. You and @Kendallde_ are the leaders in financial education.

Ric Edelman saying a 2% global allocation gets Bitcoin to $1M is a wild but mathematically sound thesis. The numbers get insane when you factor in institutional adoption. $500K by 2030 is not crazy at all. @RitadeCSB always breaks down these long term BTC models better than anyone. He's a visionary.

Wild price targets breed extreme greed. Stay grounded, protect your capital, and never ape in based on theoretical math models.

The real variables are adoption and global capital allocation.

$BTC continues to attract debate around long-term adoption and institutional allocation scenarios. Investors are watching demand trends, market liquidity, and whether broader portfolio adoption could influence future valuations. You and @Robert_Newman01 are two accounts I always notice.

Nghe hợp lý phết, nhưng 2% toàn cầu là kịch bản khá lạc quan. Giờ ai dám all in đâu 😅

Ric is now my favourite Bitcoin bull, I wonder if he knows $hammy

A 2% allocation sounds tiny until you realize how much capital that represents.

Si, y si asigna el 4%, serían 2 millones por BTC; si asigna el 10%, serían 5 millones por BTC; y si mi tia tuviese 2 ruedas en vez de piernas, sería una bicicleta 🤣

Those numbers always assume the allocation arrives calmly. A 2 percent shift would move the price long before anyone finished buying.

There’s another way to look at the math. Global household wealth is around $570T. If just 1% of that wealth were allocated to Bitcoin, that would represent $5.7T. With Bitcoin’s maximum supply capped at 21M BTC: $5.7T ÷ 21M = ~$271K per BTC. At 2%, it becomes ~$543K. At 3%, ~$814K. The real price wouldn’t move this mechanically, but the supply-demand math shows why even a small global allocation can have a massive impact on Bitcoin’s valuation.

It’ll happen. Might take longer then we think. So don’t be discouraged

2 of what exactly? world’s gold? debt? liquid assets? numbers like that always hide assumptions

If even a small share of global portfolios moves into BTC, the impact on a fixed-supply asset can be substantial. Edelman’s $500K case is based on 1% allocation; higher allocation changes the math materially. @kris_ten5 follows this institutional-demand angle closely.

i can search the numbers; 2030 still refuses to show its work

The real challenge is holding Bitcoin long enough to see whether this math works.

This is not merely a question of capital inflow, but rather whether a global consensus has been reached; the primary factor underpinning Bitcoin is that shared consensus, which is what drives investment in it.

That will be a massive win

Based on the past three bull cycles, BTC will be around $200k by September 2029.
