In 2014, India’s National Highways spanned just over 90,000 km. Today, under Nitin Gadkari’s leadership, they stretch over 1,46,000 km a 60% expansion driven by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in just over 10 years. Under the visionary leadership of our Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji and the guidance of Hon Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Ji, Pune is set to enter a new era of seamless connectivity and world-class infrastructure. As one of Maharashtra’s most prominent growth engines, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad are entering the next phase of infrastructure transformation. These 3 landmark elevated corridor projects will strengthen the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) as a future-ready hub of connectivity, mobility and economic growth. The Pune-Shirur Elevated Corridor (53.4 km), the Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur Elevated Highway (53.2 km) and the Hadapsar-Yavat Elevated Highway (31 km) will decongest key corridors, improve connectivity and enable faster, seamless travel across the region.
