He's a good actor. Like nothing happened between 2014 and 2022. Probably too old history for most americans to consider.

If "incredible" means positioning and prompting a desperate leader to cut off the hand that feeds him using spin and lies, yeah, great job @CBSNews . I hope they treble damages when you lose the lawsuit

Powerful, truth seeking fact based journalism. The kind of reporting on existential matters that only wannabe dictators would want to silence. And I can think of no Chairman of the FCC in decades that would entertain yanking their license. But none before wore Dear Leader pins🚨

You can’t expect the US to guarantee Ukraine’s security w/ assurances of boots-on-the-ground military assistance after a a democratic administration that went to great lengths to revile its own population of military-age males not to mention the entire concept of being male.

WATCH: Wednesday’s ‘CBS Mornings’ opened with 78 seconds addressing the decision by editor-in-chief Bari Weiss and new ‘60 Minutes’ executive producer Nick Bilton to fire Scott Pelley for insubordination... Vladimir Duthiers: “All right, before we get to the news this morning, we want to share with you some news about ourselves and long-time 60 Minutes correspondent, Scott Pelley. On Monday, new executive producer Nick Bilton called an all-hands meeting to introduce himself to the staff. That meeting became contentious when Pelley publicly questioned the management decisions regarding the replacement of the former 60 Minutes executive producer, Tanya Simon, and publicly criticized the decisions of CBS News management on the future direction of 60 Minutes. According to CBS News management, efforts were made to see if both sides could reach common ground. Pelley met with senior management of CBS News last night, and no agreement could be reached. Pelley was then informed by 60 Minutes executive producer Nick Bilton that CBS News and 60 Minutes would have to part ways with Scott. He was terminated for cause. Scott Pelley released a statement which expressed his ‘gratitude for the men and women of CBS News who encouraged and enriched my work very often at the risk of their own lives.’ Pelley went on to say, ‘I pray for a day when those people and their ideals are honored again, a day when sanity, competence, and courage return.’ In a letter to the staff, Bilton stated, ‘What I will commit to this is this: my unyielding support for each of you and the journalism that you do and what we will do together going forward.’” Nate Burleson: “Yeah, we know his impact on journalism and this network is undeniable.”

CBS “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley and his former colleague Sharyn Alfonsi say Bari Weiss is destroying “60 Minutes”, the most prestigious program in American television news. For more than half a century, the CBS newsmagazine has defined investigative television, drawing tens of millions of Sunday-night viewers with its ticking stopwatch, its ambush interviews, and a roster of correspondents treated as the closest thing American journalism has to royalty. Alfonsi warned late last month that “the wall between editorial independence and corporate interest at CBS is being methodically torn down.” Pelley went further yesterday, confronting Weiss’s new executive producer, Nick Bilton, at a staff meeting. When Bilton told the room that Weiss “loves 60 Minutes,” Pelley shot back that “she’s murdering 60 Minutes,” that “she does not love this place,” and that “she was brought in to kill it and is doing exactly that.” Pelley told Bilton, a technology journalist, that he held “slender qualifications” for the job. Cecilia Vega, another ousted correspondent, framed Weiss’s firings as “censorship, both imposed and self-driven,” and “dangerous for democracy.” But a review of the last two decades of “60 Minutes” reveals that the program has been inaccurate and partisan on many major issues, including the border, transgenderism, climate, species extinctions, Russiagate, and the Hunter Biden laptop.... WATCH: NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas also did an item on the Pelley firing, not the syrupy sendoff we saw from CBS TOM LLAMAS: It is one of the biggest news shows in this country, and its marquee reporter has been fired. 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley is officially out at CBS News and he’s firing back tonight at the network leadership that pushed him out. Erin Mclaughlin has the latest on the turmoil from the top rated show. SCOTT PELLEY: I’m Scott Pelley. ERIN McLAUGHLIN: Tonight, longtime 60 Minutes veteran correspondent, Scott Pelley, is firing back after being fired by CBS. Pelley saying CBS executives are lying about why he was let go from one of the top-rated shows in America. The longtime CBS reporter had blasted the new top producer of 60 Minutes and CBS News leadership in a staff-wide meeting, saying they are “murdering” the storied newscast. Pelley then met with top executives including the network's controversial editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss, who said that despite attempts to engage with him they weren’t able to find a way back, after she says he broke the newsroom's foundation of trust and respect. Pelley also accusing management of wreaking havoc on the show and instructing him to inject falsehoods and bias into politically sensitive stories, as parent company Skydance’s merger with Warner Bros. Discovery awaits approval from the Trump administration. The ticking clock at 60 Minutes has been around for 58 years and near the top of the ratings for decades. DYLAN BYERS: What we’re really looking at is 60 Minutes’ gold standard of journalism, the most popular news program in America for over half a century, fundamentally being completely redone, rethought, restructured. McLAUGHLIN: Bari Weiss, founder of a conservative-leaning website, was brought into the network to change things up. She cleaned house at 60 Minutes, getting rid of the show's top producers. And with four full-time correspondents recently out only three remain, including the legendary Lesley Stahl, who is yet to speak publicly about the chaos at her show. LLAMAS: All right. That was Erin McLaughlin.
