Rex was found living on his own in the hills outside Chico, California after the wildfires tore through that area in the fall of 2022. He came into an Animal Rescue badly underweight, with scars across his back, and so frightened that volunteers could barely get close. For almost two years he lived in the shelter, improving slowly but still flinching at sudden movements. The Chen family had been searching for their Australian Shepherd since the evacuation. Their ten-year-old son, Liam, never stopped believing they'd find him. He carried Rex's old stuffed duck toy in his backpack every single day. When the family finally got a match through a lost pet database and came to the shelter, Rex backed straight into the corner. Liam sat down on the floor without rushing and pulled that worn, faded duck out of his bag. Rex's whole body changed. His ears came up. His nose started working. He crept forward one step at a time until he was close enough to sniff the toy - and then he was on top of Liam, covering his face with kisses while Liam laughed and cried at the same time. For many years, 13-year-old Liam had lived in different homes, moving so often that he stopped unpacking his small bag because nothing ever stayed tamiliar for long. A 17 yr-old teen, Jonathan Lewis Jr, was beaten to death by a mob of black teens near Rancho High School in Vegas. The teen was attempting to help his ‘younger friend after being bullied’ when he was then attacked by the whole gang. Jonathan was found bleeding from his head, and taken to UMC where he was put on life-support. He died this past week. Lewis Jr’s dad said he was a great, caring young man, and was planning to join the military at 18. No one has been arrested. Didn’t hear about this story in the media, huh?

Someone please tell Lawyer You Know that the “coded language” he thought was a good point was “Turtleboy was right,” which we came up with to see if they would be ridiculous enough to try to say that coded language should also be banned. Someone tell Peter that the whole point was to illustrate that Mattei wouldn’t stop at trying to ban people from saying the McAlberts killed John Okeefe, he’d also try to ban anyone from thinking it at all. He just wants to ban words, and he proved my point for me by being trolled into doing this.

Football is such a brutal sport, things can change in a second. Arthur Okonkwo arrived on loan from Arsenal in 2023, he helped Wrexham secure promotion from League Two to League One. You can hear the fans singing for him to “Sign the contract”. This was at the end of the season in June 2024. Well, he eventually signed a 3-year contract and stayed with them. He helped them secure promotion again from League One to Championship. Wrexham signed Ward to replace him in the Championship, because Ward was more experienced…Unfortunately, Ward got injured as the season started. Okonkwo then helped them so much in the league that they almost got promoted to the premier league. Guess what? Ward came back from injury in the last 4 games of last season, the coach, Phil Parkinson benched Okonkwo. I can even say that’s why they didn’t promote, because he started to change the squad that was already doing well and sitting in a good spot for play offs. Wrexham has now signed Patterson from Sunderland. He was on loan at Millwall last season but those ones didn’t keep him. Okonkwo has now moved to 3rd choice. This is the reason he’s now being loaned to Charlton. If he does well, and Charlton does well, I’m sure he’ll get a good move because he is a good goalkeeper and he’s still 24. Again, football is brutal. Fans could be singing your name to sign a new contract today, and by tomorrow, you’re out. Football is not played with emotions, it’s a brutal sport.
