1. a blockade is an act of war, so there has not been a ceasefire in gaza since 2007, not since a few days before oct 7, 2023. 2. whether mehdi likes it or not, palestinians in gaza *did* elect hamas in 2006, which won 44.45% of the vote against fatah’s 41.43%.
