I certainly don't lack quality glass but admit mobile phones and Apps have expanded everyday photography in a wonderful direction.

And yet, any APS-C camera from 2006 outperforms every single flagship smartphone camera on the market in terms of image quality to this day. Graphs are such a meme. Smartphones killed compacts, but they will never kill fully-fledged DSLRs and MILCs, unless coming back to modular.

I agree that smartphones have replaced a lot of consumers desire to buy a camera, but the comparison on the video is misleading. It compares unit sales of a niche photography product with a multipurpose product. It's called a smartphone, not a smartcamera.

Ha. It’s great to see all the cameras we’ve had over the years.

they have at least for the average person taking pictures, not sure about people who use cameras for a living though
