Why are you not wearing cotton gloves handling a treasure like that?

I don't know how much you watched this guy but i could spend a year there and not leave. He has some extremely rare books.

Spectacular! But HOW did the scribes write that small? I guess it has to do with the price of vellum? Estimates are that 200+ sheep/lamb skins were needed to print a bible on parchment or vellum.

Brian, I know this guy! Reid Moon. We’re in the same town. I’ve been fortunate enough to be with several groups in his back room when he shared his rarest books with us.

The oldest one I have at my desk right now is from Leipzig, 1815. A mere youngster by comparison😁 It’s a Latin textbook, written in German. “Practische Grammatik der Lateinischen Sprache”. It’s vellum too.
