722 British soldiers were killed by paramilitary murderers during The Troubles. Not one of those deaths will be revisited. Our brave veterans, who served their country with honour, heroism and skill, face prosecution. I asked the Government what they plan to do about it👇

A non-answer from Hillary Benn on protecting veterans. As for "Politically motivated" prosecutions, what else do you call it when, for political reasons, you pardon known murderers and allow the prosecution of soldiers for simply doing their duty in defence of the realm.

Our petition to protect Northern Ireland veterans from prosecution has over 90,000 signatures. We need 10,000 more to reach the number necessary for a debate in Parliament. Sign the petition here 👇

Of course it’s politically motivated. Starmer is removing the protections but only for soldiers. The convicted terrorists who were pardoned or given comfort letters remain free to go about their business without fear of persecution and prosecution.

The @CPSUK is a leftwing activist organisation, it doesn't matter that they are separate from the executive, prosecutions are still politically motivated!!

Serving multiple tours of NI in early to mid seventies, with my final tour late 1989,NI defined a large part of my military career.Absolutely appalled at the subsequent hounding of our veterans some 50 years after service, secret amnesties to terrorists is a hard pill to swallow.

The veterans who didn’t breach the rules of engagement will be fine. The few that did should face justice to uphold the integrity and high standards of the army.

Perhaps they could go back to the Somme for example, I am sure we committed some human rights violations there. Leave us alone we served our country that is more than most politicians have done. I applaud your stance sir!
