Listen, at any other time in American history, I understand the civil dispute that is valid for vetting a candidate. But if you have not been watching the news lately, WE ARE NO LONGER THERE ANYMORE. There is a qualified Black Woman running for Governor of Ga. Every win right now is about stopping the intentional destruction, dismantling, and erasure of Black people in the United States of America. We do not have time for infighting. We have a qualified candidate who is polling above every other person running. So what are we doing? This is not the time for ego, division, personal feelings, or purity tests. This is survival. This is strategy. This is about protecting Black communities, Black rights, Black futures, and Black political power. The people working against us are organized. The people attacking us are coordinated. Meanwhile, we are debating each other while the clock is running out. We do not have time for this anymore.

Where is this energy for the black children that are murdered and their murderers are still on the loose. Many black Americans have a traumatic relationship with race and instances like this show that reality. I think that’s part of the reason we see goofy behavior like this.
