A 63-year-old woman was arrested after kicking a 7-year-old boy into a hotel pool. Penny Badgett was charged with child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. She was held at the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold and later released, according to Monday court filings. A warrant was issued the same day, and her bond was set at $15,000. The twelve year old stepson was hit in the face by a ball threw it back and was then pushed three times by an angry Turkish man who demanded he call his father. Courage - The capacity to endure, struggle, and act despite facing extreme danger, pain, or death. 8:46pm: Outside of the Home 2 Suites on University Ave in Minneapolis the first video is posted by and protesters have already blocked the road with trash bins, garbage, and are making a loud racket. Roughly a hundred people are outside of the hotel they believe federal agents are staying at. 9:09pm: Rioters are lighting off fireworks and the crowd is growing. They are blocking traffic and controlling the road. The outside of the building is vandalized, and the crowd is writing, “F*ck ICE" on the windows. 9:19pm: Agitators are attempting to storm the entrance and are met by hotel security. “You got to get out right now.” says a staff member as he tries to lock and bar the doors. Strobe lights, noise makers are constant while the hotel staff pleads with agitators to leave. “All the staff is local, man.” 9:51pm: One lone MPD officer is attempting to assist hotel staff and is barricading the door. Rioters push, shove, and attack the staff to keep the door open. Objects go flying and reporters are hit with glass bottles/ice bottles. “F*ck you!” Rioters scream. It’s at this moment the rioters attack the outside of the building. Ripping signs off, defacing property, hacking at the structure with shovels. Hotel staff continues to be assaulted. Senior Corporal Zachary Helm, a 20-year veteran of the department, faces a state jail felony charge of solicitation of prostitution. Police guided the grieving mother of Rhiannon Whyte to tone down her public statements after her 27-year-old daughter was stabbed 23 times with a screwdriver by Sudanese asylum seeker Deng Chol Majek. Majek, who had arrived in the UK by small boat just three months earlier, then spent the night dancing and drinking in the car park of the Park Inn Hotel where she worked. When the family told police they were turning off Rhiannon’s life support, officers rushed to remove other migrants from that same hotel. Siobhan Whyte has said she was aggressive in her initial grief and that police guided the family to soften the language so the statements did not come across as too aggressive. She is grateful for some of the practical help she received from officers, but she has also called out the Prime Minister for having blood on his hands. A mother whose daughter was murdered in one of the most brutal ways imaginable should never have been pressured in her darkest moments to water down her anger for the sake of social cohesion. She has every right to be furious. She has every right to say exactly what she thinks about the man who slaughtered her child and about the system that let him into the country in the first place. The police’s job was to support the victim’s family, not to manage their words to stop the public from getting angry about open borders and preventable murders. F*cking shameful.
