I remember when I decided to run for office... I didn't know if I would win in Burlington, but I knew that with hard work, tenacity and the right people around me, I could. That team started with me and half a dozen volunteers around my kitchen table. I spent the year leading up to the 2015 election knocking on doors - 45,000 to be exact - usually just with one volunteer at a time. Listening to you and learning what mattered to you. Today I officially turned 32 🎂 Years ago I would have NEVER shared my age online 😂 but I've come a really long way in my life and honestly I'm proud of what ive done with my life. Others look to me to know its possible that if you decide to change your life you can do it 💯 Before all of this I spent 8 years working in pathology, where we dissected human organs for cancer, did autopsies, and I worked at the children's hospital with leukemia and lymphoma cases. I was also somehow doing all of that while in college full time 😂 Then gaming and PCs basically changed my entire life. TechSource randomly found my setup online and that introduced me to this whole PC community. I also met Josh online through streaming, and somehow that guy I met on the internet ended up becoming my husband and my partner in literally everything 😂❤️ Two nerds on the internet somehow became a pretty good power couple lol. I started building PCs and making content, Alienware was one of the first big companies to see something in me and give me a chance, then AMD came along, and things just kept growing from there. Fast forward a few years and we've built a community of over 3 MILLION people across social media and somehow I get to do something I love for a living. This year was a big one for me personally too. I feel like I finally remembered who I used to be. I got myself back in shape, lost 33 pounds, started feeling like myself again, and Josh and I started building our second business from literally nothing all because of this community! It's kinda crazy looking back at it all. I went from dissecting organs and doing autopsies while going to college, to posting my gaming setup on the internet, meeting my husband through gaming, building PCs for a living, growing a community of millions and now starting another business! Life is weird 😂 But at 32 I genuinely feel like I'm just getting started. I have some BIG hopes and dreams for 2027 and I'm excited to see where we are a year from now. I insisted on rehearsing and shooting to a piano track and consulting Brian with a musical score in my hand over each set-up. But it worked! It worked! I have never enjoyed myself so much in my life. For the first time I felt I had control of the film with the authority of the music. And I’m not even sure there’s anyone competent enough to beat him in an election and to reverse the fortunes, if you will, from that perspective. So we’re in a pickle, Glenn. We are in a pickle. And because we did gain so much strength and we punished so many people in the world, and we destroyed so many civilizations in the world—I mean that—we’re now hated as much as we are looked at as being crazy. And I don’t know how you compensate for that while you try to fix enough so that at least you can go out with a fairly decent—maybe something like England went out after the ’56 Suez crisis. And it’s eerie how many of them saw this coming inchoately, but they nonetheless saw it coming. Adams probably because he thought any democracy would kill itself eventually.
