Watching the D Day commemorations on gold beach this morning was so moving. I don't think we can ever thank them men and women enough for their sacrifice & @yorkshireprose is right in his words, when the last of the veterans have gone we should never forget #proud @britishlegion

I’m also remembering my grandads . Arthur who was gassed on the Somme WW1 who did return to these shores but died of the effects in his 30’s and also Thomas who was killed in the Hull blitz when their house on Walcott street was bombed , Never to be forgotten ❤️
