If left to our own selves, humans will sink into darkness and debauchery. Life is meant to have an ending for such reasons, and the greatest test is staying on the straight and narrow. Hence God is always willing to forgive, as it is in our nature to sin. Only the good-hearted who take accountability and seek forgiveness shall prevail in the hereafter.

As an atheist I appreciate the architecture of churches and would preserve them. I would repurpose their interiors as museums and community social spaces that serve local interests, help bridge divisions, and bring people together through a shared sense of community pride.

No issue with it at all. If people don't attend the church isn't needed. Would rather have the buildings used for something rather than going into disrepair with all the issues that would bring.
