8/21/95: The British Bulldog turns heel!

this was legit the first big angle i ever saw as a wrestling fan. I remember being hooked

It was a great heel turn but I never understood why they did it just days before Summerslam, it would have been more logical to do it after the event.

@LeeHAuthor God I used to love when they would ring the bell like 10 times. Like the bad news was ever going to end. Truely a lost art that never happens anymore.

Well executed angle. If I'm not mistaken, this was Bulldog's first heel run at least in WWF/WCW since I'm not sure about Stampede which was probably overdue. King Mabel looked great with the WWF Championship.

I still think to this day that they were setting up Luger to win the title. I think the Bulldog would have won it & if Luger wouldn’t have left for WCW it was going to go to Luger.

I was so damn shocked at this heel turn. It was up there with the Hogan heel turn for me, as I NEVER expected to see him turn heel.

He POOerslamed him because he's BAZZAR
