Had to get the business clear with Officer Tatum about a few things. When Black people talk about the lack of resources in our communities that isn’t about asking for handouts. It’s about making sure our tax dollars come back to our communities like everyone else’s. When conservatives funded snap, it was because they didn’t want to hurt the business owners. When I talk about schools, roads, parks, and public investment, I’m talking about fairness and accountability—not charity. People like Tatum are why I created Civics for the People to inform and engage people against the nonsense people like him spew. Growing up these days is hard, and young men are having a tough time. We need more positive role models in schools and in our communities. A lot of people have been working on this for a long time, and we should support these types of efforts. I'm introducing two bills to recruit more men into teaching and volunteering—because when more people serve and are involved in their communities, everyone is better off.

Those of us focused on this work understand that some officials don’t want us all voting. They want the people who agree with them voting. I mentioned on rolandsmartin that @syritarsteib, @emilewashington, @wcsnowden and I went to St. James Parish to talk with Black folks about their power. It’s not wrong for Black people to want to see our tax dollars working for our communities. When the lack of Black leadership makes that deficit worse, uplifting Black leadership isn’t racist — it’s survival and wisdom. Right now, people from THIS state are trying to dismantle the Voting Rights Act. To act like race isn’t a factor is a lie. If we want a thriving future, we must use our critical mass, and demand real outcomes in return for our support. We pay into a system — and it should pay back into our communities. We are not hopeless or powerless, we are misinformed, uninformed, or disengaged. All of which can be addressed. When people ask what can we do, start talking to people and asking deeper questions to ensure they understand their power.

You can see the agreement that was signed for improving our infrastructure, especially in the ports and other areas, which is almost £746 million. That’s quite a lot. It’s not that easy dealing with the British, getting this kind of money out of them. They too, they are struggling on their own. But I think this is to show confidence. It’s not about the money, it’s about the confidence in Nigeria - Dangote spoke to the press after meeting with President Tinubu in Lagos State

How are people going to vote their way out of this when every time the people support a candidate to challenge the system, the system either co-opts the candidate or pours in millions of dollars to crush their campaign? It happened with Bernie and Massie, and it will happen to the next candidate the people put their time, energy, and hope into too. It might be terrifying to admit, but it’s still the reality we face: When the system is this corrupt, voting changes nothing. Revolution, on the other hand, changes everything!

We don’t have a voter registration problem in Louisiana — we have a voter turnout problem. Part of that is because too few people are consistently engaging our communities, organizing, and educating people. This is for all the people in the arena ( your life, your career, your family ) who are doing it for them .. not for the validation of the crowd One of the great issues in our society right now is that people live their lives for outside validation, for the clicks, for the likes, for the followers, for the comments. This isn't just in social media. This is happening in the analog and real world too. Too many people are keeping up with the Joneses and worried about what people think about them. They worry about what people think about how much money they have, what school they go to, or even worse, what school their kids go to, and on and on and on … I will continue to make content with the hope it breaks someone out of the hamster wheel and that’s that ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was shocked to learn that in some studies, up to 27% of people on birth control report a decrease in their libido or sex drive. And yet, how many people are ACTUALLY talking about this? That’s why today I’m sitting down with Dr Rachel Rubin. Rachel is a board-certified urologist and sexual medicine specialist and one of ONLY 80 doctors in the US trained to treat both male and female sexual health. Before we started recording, Rachel said “I’m filled with rage”… She explained that people are being denied basic information about their bodies, hormones, sexual health and the treatments that could improve their quality of life… I said to Rachel in this conversation that it’s staggering that so many women are still being let down by the medical system. It makes you think - if men were in this exact situation, would this be the case? We discussed things like: - Why so many women are told their symptoms are normal when they are actually treatable. - Why Testosterone is not just a male hormone. - How hormones can affect UTIs, libido, pain during sex and overall quality of life. - If doctors are properly trained in women’s sexual health. - Why men need to understand the main topic of this episode too. What became clear to me is that this isn’t just a conversation about sex. It’s about health, relationships, confidence, ageing, pain, shame and the way people feel in their own bodies. At the end of the conversation I told Rachel that there are very few people who have her credibility and experience, with her ability to explain these subjects in a way people can actually understand. For anyone who wants to better understand their own body, or better understand someone they love - I really recommend watching this conversation.

Murray: In fact, the Republicans, as we all remember, spent some time this summer making sure they extended tax credits and other benefits for billionaires, but they failed to extend the tax credit for people on the ACA. What that means right now, as we come to the end of the year, is that literally hundreds of thousands of people are going to go on the exchanges in their state to choose what health care they want for next year—and all of them are going to see a giant increase in their costs. I talked to one family that’s paying about $300 a month right now for their health insurance. It’s going to jump to, I believe, over $1,800 per month. Can you imagine what’s going to happen when people go online and see they’ll have to pay exorbitant amounts for their health care? They won’t be able to afford it. Many of them will turn away and not pay for it—obviously, they’ll lose their health insurance. And as we know from the old Obamacare discussions, the fewer people who have insurance under our current system, the more everybody pays.
