It's only been 1 day of Google I/O 2025, and the announcements have already been incredible. The 11 most impressive reveals of I/O 2025 so far: 1. Revamped project Astra with native audio dialogue, UI control, content retrieval, calling, and shopping

2. Agent Mode: Gemini will create a plan and take actions (like finding apartments) on the web using Project Mariner and MCP Coming soon to subscribers

3. Project Beam: A 3D video platform that uses a six-camera setup, AI, and a light field display to take videos from different angles, stitch them, and relay lifelike 3D avatars for lifelike real-time interaction Coming later this year with HP

4. Real-time translations in Google Meet: Project Starline's (now Beam) tech is also coming to Meet to enable real-time translations on calls Works for English and Spanish, with more languages launching in the coming weeks

5. New AI offerings for creatives: —Veo 3 with native sound and dialogue generation —Imagen 4 with quality improvements, better typography, and 2k resolution —Flow, an AI filmmaking tool bringing together Veo, Imagen, and Gemini

6. Gemini AI updates: —Gemini 2.5 Pro Deep Think, a new mode that uses parallel thinking to solve math and coding problems —Gemini 2.5 Flash, upgraded with improved performance across benchmarks Both also include native audio outputs across languages

7. Jules: An asynchronous coding agent that can plan steps, modify files, and do other tasks (like fixing bugs) in codebases, in mere minutes Now in public beta

8. Stitch: A Google Labs product to generate designs and UIs from text prompts and download them into Figma Coming from Google's acquisition of Galileo AI

10. AI Mode: Now rolling out to all Google Search users in the U.S., providing direct answers to questions like ChatGPT and Perplexity

11. Two early AI-powered Android XR (extended reality) devices demoed on stage: —Samsung-built Project Moohan headset taking on Apple Vision Pro —Unnamed AI smart glasses taking on Meta Ray Ban Glasses Project Moohan will go on sale later this year
