When I sun gaze in Alaska, I realize the sun & moon are approximately same size and that the sun is not 93 million miles away. The reason they don't want us to sun gaze is to keep us "in the dark" and not rejuvenate our third eye. It has been said that sun gazing decalcifies the pineal gland.
