Women have male gay friends because they often consider them fun caricatures of women. Men aren't generally friends with lesbians because they're often meaner caricatures of men. Both sides take stereotypes of the opposite gender and expand them (There are exceptions) You're also not factoring in that if a single man is friends with a woman, it's USUALLY because he wants to sleep with her. As I said, it's not always, but this is pretty common. So no, outside a cinemax portrayal of a lesbian, guys don't normally want to surround themselves with that.
