a 106 & Park show would definitely work today, if curated properly

I disagree wholeheartedly and here’s why: 106 & Park worked in an era where music videos were an event and artists needed platforms to connect with fans. social media changed all that artists drop videos instantly on YouTube TikTok or IG and go viral in minutes fans don’t need to wait until 6pm to see what’s hot plus the attention span and media landscape have shifted. everything’s faster more personalized and on demand a show like 106 would struggle to pull consistent live viewership unless it was completely reimagined for today’s pace and platforms. nostalgia makes people think it could work but the culture and consumption habits have evolved too much it’s not about curation anymore it’s about immediacy and connection. and traditional music countdown shows just don’t hit the same in this era that world is gone and it’s okay to let it be a legendary moment in time

More here:

Everybody was inside after school watching 106.

Nah they would put streamers n socialites as the hosts n it would be corny asl

Nah because rap is currently trash and all the songs sound too similar for it to be a vibe

NOBODY! WATCHES! MUSIC! VIDEOS! ANYMORE!

Record labels don't put the money behind high quality music videos. 106 would get the exclusive first. Youtube destroyed music video tv slots.

Not a chance, nobody watches tv

106 & Park wouldn't work because streamers are already do it. @KaiCenat is the 106&park show

I disagree… 106 and park was peak hip hop. These new artists today don’t care about the craft to make dope music or videos.

“if curated properly” lol “if he runs into the end zone with the ball” lol “if he shoots the ball into the basket” lol
