A 1905 Case 150 steam tractor, the largest ever built by Case, pulling 44 John Deere plows

The craziest part about this? It isn't actually a vintage survival. 🤯 The Case Company originally built only 9 of these 150 HP, 35-ton beasts between 1905 and 1907, and every single one was eventually scrapped and lost to history. A dedicated engineer named Kory Anderson found the original 1905 paper blueprints in 2007, spent a decade casting and building the parts, and rebuilt this exact replica from scratch in 2018 just to prove its legendary power! Absolute masterclass in historical engineering. 🛠️

Best not to have loose clothing or long hair while operating that thing.

Unbelievable. Just saw a monster steam tractor like that at the Henry Ford Museum last week. 😳

I ran across these steamers at a country pub near Malvern Hills recently in England

That's sick I never knew these existed.

magnificent

Now that's what I call I good ploughing.

A 1905 engineering marvel 🤯 The Case 150 steam tractor was a true giant of its era, showing the incredible scale and power of early agricultural machinery. 🚜🔥

Those open gears give me the creeps

One steam tractor doing the work of an entire farm crew, machines were already showing off back then 😂

I am cringing about the soil compaction these monsters must have created! VERY cool machine though!

It looks as if you need 45 farmers to do the work of 44 farmers.

I have never seen anything like this

Sức mạnh của con quái vật hơi nước này thật kinh ngạc, kéo tận 44 cái cày cùng lúc mà vẫn mượt mà!

Hard to believe it would have enough traction.

Dosnt look that big to sure UK has bigger

Ploughing one field sparked the heatwave in Europe.

🚂 A miniature steam engine that actually works — you heat the boiler with a burner, and it turns the generator with a light bulb.

Nothing today could do that as easily.

This amazing machine is 150 hp. Big boy 4014 is 7000 hp!

I see lazy farmers

How much is it?

@JeremyClarkson ..next season with all our favourites helping out?

That thing is bad ass

That thing is BAD ASS!

Those are some kind of super rednecks. 😂

@BonafideKRS

Ill take one please over any modern tractor.

Mmmm hmmmm Looks like it also requires 44 men to operate Not exactly efficient

Quality

Caramba, isso sim é máquina de verdade.

Y a pas que de la vapeur..

When german POWs during WWII came into US POW camps, they could not believe how many food they got. They tought it was only temporary and began hiding it. But it did not stop. Many of them became fat during captivity. That's why the US has plenty of food.

When i lived in the UK steam fairs were very popular and I miss them. I hope you still uphold the traditions there!
