My mother will do this and more. I remember the first time I returned home for Christmas and gave her a 100K fir the first time ever, my mother lost her mind and started creating a scene until I opened my payslip in my email and gave her to read. I had finished NYSC and worked for over 24 months when this happened. If she were not a graduate or literate, I wonder what would've happened that day.

If most mothers/parents were this content and outspoken with an unwavering stand on right/wrong, most of these boys/young ones will not be fraudulent. If this is real, She’s such a great woman and mother because most women now would rather “intentionally” feign ignorance, or even brazenly show their support simply because of the money involved.
