A 2021 rule change has made it almost impossible for a candidate of the Labour Left to get onto the ballot in leadership contests. I'm urging Labour colleagues to put me on the ballot to ensure we have a proper debate about our party's direction.

When the MP nomination threshold in leadership contests was doubled in 2021, many of us warned this move was designed to keep left-wing candidates off the ballot. Sadly, this contest has proved us right. We should have had a conversation, not a coronation.

This is Richard Tunnicliffe the Labour candidate in the Caerphilly by-election. The Labour run council is planning to close the Libraries. So a Labour candidate, is calling on people to vote Labour, because he wants to get elected to a Labour run Senedd, to tell a Labour run council to spend UK Labour provided money to not close libraries that a Labour council are trying to close. Simple.

RFK Jr. says he will be on every state ballot in 3 weeks: “I'll be on all 50 states within three weeks.” “I have enough signatures to get on the ballot in more than half the states. I just have to hand them in, but the states won't accept them. They won't allow me on the ballot until the end of August because the way their process works. It would look to you that I'm only on the ballot in nine states, but actually, we've done 99 percent of the work right now to get on the ballot in all 50 states.” “Oh yeah, by August we'll be on all of them.” Once RFK officially submits all of his signatures it will be interesting to see how the Republican/Democratic parties react. For the states he has submitted signatures, the DNC has been suing and contesting the signatures strictly with the goal of keeping RFK off the ballot (how Democratic of them). It would be naive to assume that the GOP won’t follow suit and take similar legal action. This entire process of RFK’s campaign has exposed the American public to just how corrupt our election system is. A candidate can be polling at a range where 16 million Americans (at the very least) plan on voting for them, and they have to battle for almost an entire year just to get on the ballot. This reason alone makes it laughable when people consider America a functioning Democracy. Do you believe RFK will be on every state ballot come Election Day?
