According to ABC, the man was not a patient but walked into the MRI room while a scan was in progress. The police say the man was at the hospital with someone else. He was sucked into the machine due to his large metal chain, and later passed away. "If this was a chain that was wrapped around the neck, I could imagine any kind of strangulation injuries that could happen, asphyxiation, cervical spine injuries if the patient was slammed against the MRI, you know, any kind of blunt force trauma that we can think about could happen," said Dr. Payal Sud. Authorities are currently investigating.
