I played varsity badminton, and I doubt these were the feathered birds we played with since a tube of 12 only cost $30-$40. I'd wager the birds in this video are for very high level competition games.

🏸 On the #video, I counted: there are 16 feathers on the shuttlecock. But it is not clear from what feathers. Shuttlecocks for professional badminton are made from 16 goose feathers and a cork head covered with thin leather. For everyday using fit plastic or hybrid shuttlecock.
