This is the opposite of how I was trained to do it... simple running for the back layer, because it is already inverted. Connell for the front layer.

This anastomosis is dangerous and not beautiful. A proper sewn anastomosis is in two layers, mucosa/submucosa with an continuous absorbable monofilament suture like cat gut, serosa with interrupted permanent suture like silk.

I use contineuos lock for first half to prevent purse-sting effect
