A beautiful sound…

Great video! Yes, it was the "Golden Age of Arcade Games", and I'm grateful that I was a kid / young teenager during those years. Although, I probably didn't realize just how special that time was until much later in life :) #retrogames

Recycled alot of soda/beer cans for money and turned around to pump said money into these arcade machines.

Defender

That's my zen sound...

We were there at the beginning of the revolution........

I love old video games sounds. Of course, back when I was a kid it was THE sound of video games.

What my weekends were like in high school 👍🏼

A real arcade used quarters, Not tokens!

The quarter wasn't just for the game, it was for the experience.

Dad please can i have a quarter. And my dad would be dick over a quarter.

Barry Island. 80s. ❤️❤️

Sometimes the sounds come in my dreams. The one that was most distinct was the Pinball game "High Speed". The cop radio call, the tires peeling out. Spent a year working in a video arcade....

The sound was great, but the smell in the air of hot electronics and bulbs was even better.

And the smell of Cotton candy

My taped quarter sounded better. . .

I spent a lot more days in these Pinny parlours than school in year 8 lol and. Ow you can’t find one anywhere anymore unfortunately

😊(sigh) Music to my ears.

It wasn’t cheap but I had to get some Scramble in whenever I could. 25 cents in 1985 is about 78 cents today accounting for inflation.

The best !!!

I heard joust. But didn't see it.

I need more tokens 😖😖😖

loved defender, and phoenix.

Sweet memories.

Let’s not forget the song “Pac-Man Fever”

❤️❤️❤️

Plaster on the finger 🤣

I hear dig dug

It's hypnotic

❤️😍🥹

What a fun clip, hearing the sounds of an arcade again.

Walking away from it, as the cacophany fades into typical shopping mall noise and then the outside air, the depression sets in but you just don't have any more money to spend. Good times.
