In every era, Almighty Allah chooses an individual for the restoration of His Sharia and the elevation of truth, entrusting him with this blessed mission. The figure of the contemporary era was Amir al-Mu’minin Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him). He was a man in whose hands lay kingship, yet he lived the life of a poor man; a man who sacrificed his entire government for the exaltation of the Word of Allah and for the cause of a mujahid. He was the one whose army, for the purpose of ending occupation and implementing Sharia, confronted an enemy tens of times greater than itself—America, NATO, and the rest of the disbelieving world—for twenty years, until Allah granted victory. He was the one around whom Arabs and non-Arabs gathered because of the effort to restore Sharia.
