Abrahah built a 'Ka'bah' in yemen, as he wanted to divert the Hajj pilgrimage from Makkah to this place here. In fact, he decided to decimate the Ka'bah completely, by heading to Makkah with an army of elephants. The Prophets ﷺ grandfather beseeched Allah to protect his house. So the army of Abrahah reached near Mina / Muzdalifah , and suddenly, Allah sent a flock of birds carrying heavy stones. These stones rained from the sky and attacked Abrahah and his army. They were defeated. Makkah lived on, and Abrahas Ka'bah turned into a garbage site :)

When I first became Muslim in 2002, I placed a picture of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah on the wall inside of my prayer room at home, and I would make du‘a asking Allah to bless me to visit Madinah and Makkah one day, alhamdulillah I never imagined years later, that I will be living in Saudi Arabia and with the opportunity to visit both holy places multiple times. Never underestimate supplications to Allah. Alhamdulillah for Allah’s kindness and mercy. May Allah make us among the grateful, forgive our sins and grant us a good ending.

2000 days ago... the last ever Salah was led directly in front of the Ka'bah. The last ever Imam to lead from the Ka'bah, was Sheikh Yasir Al Dawsary. After that, the Imam led the Salah in multiple places, but not in front of the Ka'bah. #makkah

This is Masjid al-Ghamamah, a historic mosque located in Medina, just a few minutes’ walk from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. It is famously known as the masjid where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ observed his last two Eid prayers before his passing (Eid Fitr and Eid Aldha) The name “ Majid Al-Ghamāmah” means “the mosque of the cloud,” one day when the messenger of Allah was praying here, cloud once shaded him from hot son in this area, hence why it’s named the Masjid of the cloud. This mosque stands as a reminder of the final days of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and holds a special place in the hearts of those who visit Madinah. May Allah grant us the opportunity to visit and pray in such blessed places. Āmīn.

One of the most peaceful and least crowded times to perform Umrah is before Dhul Qa‘dah. This year, the cutoff date for Umrah was 18 April. During this period, the atmosphere in the Haram is noticeably calmer, and tawaf can often be completed in under 15 minutes.

This thread is about staying in a hotel in #Makkah that is slightly away from the #Haram. The cost is around 70% less, and the only issue is distance, which by bus is around 4-5 minutes to the Haram.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not believe the people of the Book, nor disbelieve them. Say: We have faith in Allah, in what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes of Israel, in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and in what was given to the prophets from their Lord.
