He was also made to spit and lick it and a video of making him do sit-ups was made viral on social media. The victim has been identified as #MohabbatAli who is a resident of Tighra village of Golhaura Police Station area. Noted political leaders in the state delivered a harsh condemnation of the crime and demanded the strictest punishment for the perpetrator. Authorities have appealed for calm and assured residents that justice will be delivered swiftly. Meanwhile, police have assured appropriate action into the matter with further investigation underway.

Context/Details: January 2, 2024, Brazil. In a shocking incident at the Praia do Murubira beach, 24-year-old Gerson Carvalho Alencar Correia was arrested for attempted femicide. The FIR was filed on the basis of the complaint of the girl's brother, Devesh Chaudhary, states that the five girls belong to the Muslim community, attend the same tuition classes as his sister and force her to wear a burqa and convert to Islam. When the video went viral on 17th January, MORADABAD POLICE had tweeted, "The investigation revealed that the minor girl had worn the burqa solely to avoid her brother. No criminal activity or evidence of forced conversion was found. Based on a complaint filed by the family, an investigation is underway, and legal action is being taken against those who circulated the video with misleading allegations". When The Minor's elder brother filed a complaint and released a video, Moradabad Police again released a statement saying "A case has been registered at Bilari police station under the relevant sections in connection with the incident, and other legal proceedings are underway."
