Today is Fischer’s birthday!!🎉 We are still in the hospital unfortunately. My wife asked him last night what he’s looking forward to most when he gets out of here and he said “breathing”😢 Heart wrenching thing to hear as a parent. Fish and I won’t be making the Leafs Oilers game Saturday so his bday gift is tickets to see the Ducks/Oilers in March! Hoping that’s enough time for him to be able to cheer loud & proud. “EVERYONE. This man came into my yard a couple of hours ago and offered to cut my grass for a certain price. I didn’t have enough money today to afford that on top of everything else, and I told him to come back in a week. A few minutes ago, I heard a loud noise outside of my house. He told me the news doesn’t report the black neighbor helping out the white neighbor because it isn’t good for the network to make money. I told him that he has a good heart. We talked, but we were ‘just friends,’ and as time went by, we got to know each other more. He would ask me out, and it started becoming something more. I spent months saving money to take him to the festival. I even did raffles and everything, because I was 13 or 14 years old. When his birthday finally came, I had prepared a surprise for him, organized everything, and planned a special moment. When I gave him the gift, he saw what it was and got kind of weird. Then he told me, ‘Oh, it’s just that I have a family commitment,’ or whatever. Something like that. But he had been saying for months that he wanted to go, so it didn’t make any sense.
