A Black history moment in radio.

@mzjruck i used to live for the daily McDonalds black history history fact 🔥

Miss this show so much🫶🏾😇

I miss his show. Radio hasn’t been the same since he retired.

Best morning radio show of all time. Tom Joyner is the 🐐

Tom Joyner was the hardest working DJ on the airwaves on the radio. I was listening to Soul Socking 73 in the way back. KKDA in the DFW metroplex. 🎶📻💃🏿✊🏾

I listened to the TJMS every morning while I was in high school. Him, Sybil Wilkes, Myra J., and J. Anthony Brown. I had an internship the summer of my junior year in Uptown Charlotte where they had their Sky Show. I’m pretty proof positive I was the youngest cat to attend.

Original member of The Commodores!

I love this. I used to listen to his show faithfully.

Thank you for this posting. The TJMS will forever be a precious gem that brought richness in music, news and laughter into the homes of millions of listeners over the years. Truly missed and forever iconic.

94.5 in orlando!!! TOM'S SHOW WAS BETTER THAN STEVE HARVEY AND THE OTHER GUY!!! TOM and his radio soap opera show was A1

Miss that show so much

Yes, I have a picture with Tom.

Absolutely love Tom Joyner!!

I used to listen to The Tom Joyner and Russ Parr Morning Show with Olivia Foxx every morning on my way to work in DC. An absolute legend! 🫡

But why did Tom leave out the fact that he was also one of the original members of the Commodores? 🤷🏾‍♂️

I have a box of cassette tapes of the TJMS. Best morning show ever!

Legendary

Little Known Black History Facts!!!

He’s missed on the radio.

A true Omega Man

I used to listen to TJMS on the way to school every day lol

I miss this show damn

Tom Joyner was, and still is, a living legend. He'll have the 25th Anniversary TJMS Fantastic Voyage this year, which has been raising money for HBCU's. Take your loved one to the doctor, voting headquarters, etc. If anyone should have an autobiography or movie, it's Tom Joyner.

Just gave me vientnam flashbacks to my childhood

Sat next to him at the Classic one time and didnt know it was him but I knew he was famous cause how many ppl spoke to him. Then I heard him speak and was like Ohhhhh ohhh ohhh its the Tom Joyner nigga sitting next to me

93.1 in Cleveland

I heard it with the sound off🐐

Interesting thing about Joynor, was the fact that he couldn’t get a station in Los Angeles to carry his show. I understand that he’s very popular in many cities across the country, but his act didn’t work here.

@_TeeDai If you from DC hearing w/ Olivia Fox in the morning was a cult classic

100.3 WRNB in Philly yessir

Nigga raised me lol took me to school every morning

Best of all time 💐💐💐 #TJMS

93.1 WZAK - Cleveland

@_benjvmins_ Oh oh oh it’s the Tom Joyner morning show!

This was THE black morning show you listen to before you get into school after your mom drops you off.
