Stefan is very intelligent and rational. Keep in mind all his rational thinking could not prevent him from endorsing a fraudulent hooker like Lauren “Southern,” while the basic tenants of Christianity would have.

Stefan's disbelief in God boils down to, "I believe in everything that physically exists. God is only an idea. Therefore God does not exist" The counter to that is understanding that consciousness itself is what it means to be made in the image of God. That we can even think is evidence of God enough. We are the phenomena, God is the noumenon. Believing in yourself (that you have a soul independent of your physical body) is not possible without believing in God; the two concepts are actually the same.

A typically sophomoric showing from Stefan, the is/ought problem is a central conundrum in epistemology for a reason, empiricism isn't self-justifying. That he's been at this for 20 years obviates any excuse he might have for not actually understanding this stuff.
