Wake turbulence

In all of my years of air travel this has happened only one time. Coming in for a landing they waved our landing off because we were too close to the aircraft taking off. The pilot hit the throttle, side shifted, pointed the nose to the sky, and put us back into the pattern.

Seems awful close?

And turn right to get out of the turbulence as soon as possible

Must get the radio communications that go with this!
