@storm_serenader I saw this! I was flying out around 3 or 4pm and definitely saw a couple clouds that were trying to funnel after we took off but was just telling myself I was wanting to see it 😭

Disengagement on FSD at DFW Airport this morning. Picked the one closed toll booth lane. ✈️ This is the biggest issue with FSD at DFW and it's not the driving. It's the map data. The car has zero context for why it's at the airport. Rideshare? Pickup? Drop off? Short term parking? Long term? What gate? None of that exists yet. This has to be solved before robotaxi works at DFW. And DFW isn't unique. This is every major airport in the world. The driving stack is ready. The airport intelligence isn't even started.

One of the best places to chase tornadoes on earth is the Texas and Oklahoma panhandle’s. On April 15, 2016 I thought this supercell was going to plant a tornado right on top of this Tractor Supply in Dalhart, TX. Thankfully the storm took awhile longer to wind up, before producing multiple twisters near the town of Eva, OK in the panhandle. The panhandle’s in peak severe season on a severe weather day is heaven on earth for a storm chaser.

Joel and I were nearly hit by a nighttime tornado near McLean, Texas that night from the same storm. 80 tornadoes were confirmed from the March 28, 2007 outbreak. A supercell passing over Canton, Missouri, made for quite a sight as the sky turned green and sunset painted the horizon pink. The storm produced tornadoes in nearby communities but brought only rain and strong wind gusts to Canton.
