“lasted?!!” Are you on crack? At 6:15PM, CCFD is reporting the fire is 20-30 acres in size and ZERO PERCENT CONTAINED.

This is the 3rd or 4th in the last 60-90 days in that area. Apparently the first two were “human caused” (which doesn’t sound real specific) but nobody is investigating further than that. Why? I have my doubts local media cares to dig into this further.

#Oliviaincident; #VCFD is on scene of a Brush Fire in the river bottom off of Olivias Park Drive in Ventura. Firefighters have stopped forward progress, and the fire is currently estimated at 28 acres. The fire was initially reported as 1-2 acres in medium brush with a moderate rate of spread. VCFD is in unified command with @venturacityfire and @oxnardfiredepartment. Approximately 100 firefighters were engaged in this incident, including engines, water tenders, dozers, hand crews. Crews will be remaining on scene for the next few hours mopping up hotspots within the fire footprint. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. #VCFD #venturacountyfire #venturacityfire #oxnardfire

🚁 This afternoon, LVMPD’s Air Unit assisted Clark County Park Police and fire crews in response to a fire at the Wetlands Park. Our Air Unit helped ensure the safety of the public by checking for anyone still on or near the trails after the area was closed my Park Police. We also worked with fire personnel to provide estimates on the burn size, direction of travel, and the best access routes to reach the flames quickly.
