My heart weeps for the London we have lost. I do remember it like this…ordered, calm and I remember kindness. I never recall feeling threatened growing up in central London. From the skyline to the violence, the change is devastating.

What a special time it must have been. Still using Pounds, Shillings and Pence, not part of any European nightmare, a cohesive country with shared values, culture and outlook, as well as pride and self respect.

So much cleaner . Looks so civilised . Unlike today but remember folks apparently we are better now today than all those years ago

Wow, without "diversity our strength" ! How beautiful London was ...

Someone invent a Time Machine and take me back to there. It looks normal

When you’ve finished can you all remove your rose tinted varifocals?

Streets so clean ! Another beautiful bit of film that shows how little we have truly progressed!

@ToriaLouCan Yet, if you listen to today’s talking heads, we are the pinnacle of civilisation. I beg to differ, we’ve regressed.

Where is everyone? Oh yeah they were hard at work, in school etc!

No cultural diversity and yet society was so much better for it.
