Someone sent an email to all enforcement officers and ordered "not to go to restaurants and not to meet with criminal elements." When journalists from UP arrived in Lviv to shoot a report about the property and wealth of the head of the operational department of the BEB (Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine) in the Lviv region, Roman Mud, they were put under surveillance. And all Lviv law enforcement officers received instructions in their chats: "Journalist Tkach is working in the city – maintain transport discipline, do not hang out in expensive bars, do not meet with criminal elements."

Historian, academic and author Tarik Cyril Amar on Nationalism, Nazi Imagery, and Ethnic Cleansing Apologia in Early 2000s Lviv Tarik lived in Lviv from 2001 on & off for five years. He speaks fluent Russian and Ukrainian, and is an eyewitness expert who should be highlighted on major platforms to correct the wrong records of most media on Ukraine and the Western proxy war against Russia. “Even then, Lviv had a reputation as being a particularly patriotic, even nationalist, city. My personal experience at the time was that that was true, and that this tendency was on the rise. You had demonstrations celebrating the OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists in WW2). You found it in policies of public commemoration. Lviv has one of the largest monuments to Stepan Bandera in Ukraine, built or inaugurated during my time there. There was already a very consistent denial of the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists in WW2, the enormous massacres that they conducted systematically against the Poles. Nazi symbols in Lviv “You had the symbolism of the Waffen-SS division that the Nazis established in 1943. Lviv was the epicentre of that operation. Their symbolism, their coat of arms, that was there in the public space. You had the black and red of the OUN, that was prominent... From what I can see now, it must have become much more aggressive. At the same time, there has been some resistance against forced mobilization in Lviv. On one side, there is this escalation of very strong nationalism that was already there. On the other, clearly the impact of the war is that some people are beginning to resist mobilization, even there.”

❗️The 38th 🇬🇧British humanitarian mission “Driving Ukraine” has arrived in 🇺🇦Lviv. They handed over 26 vehicles to the Defense Forces of Ukraine: pickups, vans, two ambulances, and a fire engine. The vehicles are already heading to the front lines, with a special focus on the pickups. In addition, as a symbol of support, they brought a rare 1964 Rolls-Royce.

Born in Zaporizhzhia, she studied in Dnipro and lived in Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, and Kharkiv. Before joining the Ukrainian Volunteer Army in 2024, she worked as a journalist for Kharkiv’s media outlet “Lyuk,” was an activist, and a passionate cultural creator, inspiring those around her with her honesty and dedication. I signed a decree conferring the title of Hero of Ukraine on the commander of the “Liut” brigade, Maksym Kazban. Tragically, posthumously. Yesterday, in Lviv, a farewell ceremony was held for the Hero of Ukraine, warrior of the 3rd Assault Brigade, Vitalii “Tourist” Karvatskyi. Eternal honor to our fallen Heroes. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 684 of our warriors from various branches of the Security and Defense Forces have been awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, including 428 who received the title posthumously. We always remember and honor everyone who fought for Ukraine, for its independence, and for a normal life for our people.
